Your website questions

A connection
you can understand.

Does this work with Next.js and AI-built websites?

Yes, when the site has a secure server endpoint connected to its own content storage and pages. The reference handler includes a Next.js server-route example. A site built with an AI coding assistant can use the same connection; its hosting and backend capabilities determine what needs to be added.

What does Postomatic deliver?

The finished article arrives as semantic HTML with image links, alongside title, excerpt, SEO title, meta description, a suggested canonical path and a structured-data recommendation. Your site saves and renders the content using its own template. Images are optimised WebP files hosted by Postomatic.

Do I need a developer to connect it?

There is an initial development step. Copy the setup prompt from the Publishing page and give it to your developer or AI coding assistant. It includes the tested reference handler; connect that handler to your site’s storage and rendering. A static-only front end needs a server or function to receive and publish articles.

What happens during the connection test?

Test connection sends a temporary article through your endpoint, checks the reply and requests removal of that test article. The product records the outcome and any problem that needs attention, including a failed verification or removal. Use the result shown in Publishing to complete setup.

Who handles scheduling and article updates?

Postomatic handles the publishing schedule and sends articles when due. You can edit or reschedule content in Postomatic before publication. The receiver uses publication identity and version to create or update the corresponding post and avoid duplicates; your storage implementation controls how that post is saved and addressed.

Is this the same as the public API or MCP?

This is a publishing connection that sends finished articles to your site. The public API and MCP expose scoped information for your own tools or AI clients. To receive articles, use the custom-website connection and shared secret on the brand’s Publishing page.
